As most of you know, we have been home for almost a week. Our last few days in China were crazy! We werent feeling well and we had a ton of paperwork to do.
We spent our last few days in Guangzhou a beautiful town on a river. There was a ton of shopping and it was very European.
As usual, the pictures are out of order, the first picture here is of Jadie and her Cousin Caileen, they were having breakfast the first day we were back. Since we've been back Jadie has been awesome. She has learned to roll over, sit up, support her self on her legs and eat, eat, eat.
Most of these pictures are from the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou and the surrounding area. There was a beautiful park next to the hotel where people congregated to sing, dance, do Tia chi and just hang out. The hotel itself was 5 star and had all sorts of antiques and "fun stuff" in the lobby including a waterfall. The last day we were in China we saw clouds, so I took a picture. It was a beautiful day!
From Guangzhou we flew to Beijing and stayed overnight in a hotel next to the airport, that's the picture of Jadie and Scott crashing out! We were all so pooped! The flight home was a DREAM. Jade was perfect. She was so happy to have her own seat, her own food and undivided attention! She travelled super well and slept for about 5 hours of the 13 hour flight (not including the 2 hour flight from Chicago to Hartford which we almost missed!).
We got home Thursday night around 11:00 and had Pizza and Pot Roast, we never thought food could taste soooo good!
We've been home now almost a week and are adjusting slowly but surely. The jet-lag is crazy, but Jadie is doing great, she only get's up once a night (2:00) and then falls asleep till around 6:30 ish.
It's good to be home and will keep you all posted!!
Love - Aileen
P.S. we were able to go to a buddist temple and get Jadie blessed by a monk, it was awesome. couldnt take picutes of inside the temple, but were able to take shots of the grounds of the temple. You'll see the sign "may peace prevail on earth" as well as some shots with prayer flags - it was beautiful and kinda made me cry a bit. But then again, that's pretty easy!
