Since we've been home with Jade the only way she has gone to sleep in her crib is if she was asleep BEFORE she went into the crib. It's only taken me close to a year to figure out she hates her crib. So, this past weekend I converted her crib to a "big girl bed" and boy was she happy! She squeeled with delight when she saw the bed and got in and out of it a million times. Not that she is sleeping in it, but she pretends to go to sleep in it which I think is the first step to her sleeping, period. Maybe theres finally a light at the end of the tunnel!
Now that she's a Big Girl she is also helping me in the kitchen, as you can see from the picture she has dish duty! As my parents always told me, you are never to young to start working (ha, ha, ha).
Enjoy!

We had the same issue! The wee one would flail in the crib and wake herself up by slamming her little head into the railings, so we moved her in with us, where no matter how hard she flails her head, arms, and legs across our faces, nothing wakes her.
We, on the other hand, now wake up bruised and battered unless we manage to strategically wedge her between us, or under the dog.
So our enxt move will be to her own bed -- it's worked a few times, so we think we may be able to solo her regularly.
I LOVE that photos of Jadey at the sink: hmmmm, maybe I can get the little one to do chores, too ... heh.
